My love of books comes from my wonderful mom, and I began reading before first grade. From then on, I played stories with my best friend, Mary, but it never occurred to write them for anyone but the two of us until many years later. Dad thought I’d never leave Ohio for Colorado . . . all alone. But I did. Move to California alone? I did. Backpack through Central America? I did. Travel alone through Alaska? I did.

I followed my heart and went for experiences every chance I got and created chances when they didn’t appear.

I began writing when I was sixty and my first book, At What Cost, Silence, will be published in October 2023. I will be seventy-nine.

    • A Sunshine Award certainly sounds nice since I love sunshine. I had to look the award up to see what it is. Seems there’s a lot of them floating about WordPress busily connecting bloggers to one another. Made me think I should write a blog about connection which will be upcoming shortly. Though I’ve been blogging for a while, and only recently been connecting with other bloggers, let’s see how I do with finding ten great blogs to pass on. Shouldn’t be difficult, as I’ve been amazed at the talent out there. Thanks for the nomination. Does a nomination mean I got it?

  1. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now
each time a comment is added I get several e-mails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
    Many thanks!
